Ho Chi Minh City Unveils Multi-Functional AI Livestream Shopping Center

On January 25, Ho Chi Minh City’s Research and Development Institute introduced a groundbreaking AI-powered livestream shopping center, marking the first of its kind in Vietnam. This initiative aims to facilitate the transition of traditional businesses, particularly small retailers and brands, into the realm of modern e-commerce.

Spanning over 2,000 square meters, the Ho Chi Minh City Livestream Center is a comprehensive ecosystem featuring various zones such as the TikTok Creator House, physical livestream rooms, AI-powered livestream rooms with virtual hosts, technical training areas for livestream techniques, product display areas, warehouses, and comprehensive service zones for livestreamers, including dressing rooms, makeup rooms, and cafés.

The centerpiece of this ecosystem is the “Nova AI Mall,” touted as Vietnam’s first AI-driven livestream shopping platform. The project is part of the Tết Online Festival organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Research and Development Institute to boost digital economic development.

Anticipated to create a multifunctional livestream ecosystem, the Nova AI Mall is envisioned as a pioneering online marketplace entirely managed by AI virtual hosts, setting a precedent in the Vietnamese market. This system aims to make it easier for small retailers and brands to adapt to modern AI livestreaming technology, fostering the creation of highly efficient business models in line with global trends.

Nguyen Anh Nhuong Tong, a representative of Nova AI Mall, expressed his vision: “We want to build an ecosystem that supports an entirely new industry – livestream shopping. I believe this will be the future of modern retail, providing digital business solutions.”

According to Tong, the project also aims to assist socially vulnerable groups in accessing, working, and developing within this future trend.

Once officially operational, Nova AI Mall is expected to drive retail growth based on the digital economy platform in Vietnam.

Connecting Social Resources through the Ho Chi Minh City Livestream Center

The Ho Chi Minh City Livestream Center is envisioned as a hub connecting social resources such as investors, banking systems, AI and AI Livestream technology experts, entrepreneurial youth, livestream training providers, e-commerce platforms, and technology startups. This collaborative model aims to bring mutual benefits to the modern retail sector.

Several AI Livestream Projects Boosting Ho Chi Minh City’s Digital Economy

This groundbreaking project is the third in a series of initiatives to promote the development of the digital economy, initiated by the Ho Chi Minh City Research and Development Institute.

Recent completed projects include the “Online Shopping and Entertainment Day – Ben Thanh Heritage Market” held from December 12 to 16, 2023, and the “Application of Digital Transformation in Business Operations, Promotion, and Introduction of the City’s OCOP Specialty Products through E-commerce and Social Media Platforms” from October 19 to 21, 2023.

These activities have yielded encouraging results, contributing to the establishment of innovative retail models and supporting businesses and small retailers in developing their operations. The initiatives aim to position Ho Chi Minh City as a pioneer in the digital economic landscape in Vietnam.
