On May 14th, at Tam Chuc Tourist Area in Kim Bang District, the People’s Committee of Ha Nam Province, together with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, held a press conference to announce the activities of the Ha Nam Cultural and Tourism Week 2023 and the Vietnam-Japan Traditional Art Exchange Program with the theme “Ha Nam – Journey of Connection,” commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21st, 1973 – September 21st, 2023).
The Ha Nam Cultural and Tourism Week 2023 will take place in Tam Chuc Tourist Area (Ba Sao Town, Kim Bang District) and Phu Ly City. The main activities include the launching ceremony of the campaign “Whole Nation Exercises to Follow the Great Example of Uncle Ho,” the opening of the “SacomBank Run for Community Health” cross-country race, the Ha Nam Province Boat Racing 2023, and the surfing performance at Tam Chuc Lake. There will also be a traditional Japanese art performance featuring the Sambaso dance and the Kyogen play performed by the Japanese Art Troupe. Furthermore, the event will involve the announcement and awarding of the National Treasure and National Heritage titles, the opening fireworks ceremony of the Ha Nam Cultural and Tourism Week 2023, as well as cultural, tourism, culinary, and pedestrian space experience events in Phu Ly City.
The opening ceremony of the Ha Nam Cultural and Tourism Week will take place on the evening of May 14th, featuring grand diplomatic ceremonies, the performance of the Kyogen play by the Japanese Art Troupe, and recitations of traditional Vietnamese “chau van” singing by artists from the Vietnamese Theater, Vietnamese Ballet Theater, and the Provincial Center for Cultural and Art Activities. The artistic program with the theme “Proudly Ha Nam” will be the highlight of the opening ceremony, showcasing five segments of exceptional singing and dancing performances that exalt the homeland of Vietnam, the beauty of Ha Nam’s landscapes, people, culture, and the allure of the Tam Chuc ecotourism-spiritual complex.
During the press conference, Mr. Ngo Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ha Nam Province, stated that the Ha Nam Cultural and Tourism Week 2023 comprises a series of cultural, sports, and tourism events aimed at introducing, promoting, and attracting tourists and investors to Ha Nam. It also aims to enhance awareness and responsibility for preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the nation and the natural resources for tourism development. This event serves as an opportunity to introduce the land, people, and distinctive cultural heritage values of Ha Nam to domestic and international tourists, attracting investment and stimulating tourism demand.
With its remarkable cultural, sports, and tourism activities, the Ha Nam Cultural and Tourism Week 2023 is a meaningful event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21st, 1973 – September 21st, 2023). It aims to introduce and honor the beauty of traditional culture, the friendly and enduring relationship between the two countries, as well as the bond between Ha Nam Province and Japanese organizations and localities.
