Crypto.com was officially announced by FIFA on March 22 as 2022 Qatar World Cup sponsor. The company will serve as the tournament’s exclusive cryptocurrency trading platform sponsor and will gain extensive branding exposure both inside and outside the stadiums.
Crypto was established in 2016 and has emerged as one of the fastest growing crypto trading platforms in the world with more than 10 million users and 4000 employees across its offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
In recent times, Crypto.com has gained recognition for its partnerships with various major sports and entertainment brands all over the world, including those in motorsport, mixed martial arts, basketball and ice hockey, as well as football. Most recently, Crypto.com signed a historic agreement with AGE to rename the Staples Center into the Crypto.com Arena for 20 years. The Australian men’s and women’s professional football leagues also adopted it as its official cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform.
Crypto.com will activate its official sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in many ways, including by providing opportunities for new and existing users to attend matches during the tournament or win exclusive merchandise.
