The former FIFA president Sepp Blatter said to the Swiss newspaper group Tamedi that the decision to let Qatar host the World Cup 2022 tournament was a “bad choice.” The reason he stated was: “It’s a country that’s too small,” and “Football and the World Cup are too big for that.”
